Service Description
Embark on a dynamic on-foot trek with a knowledgeable and friendly local guide who will bring to life all that you are seeing. View notable landmarks and learn about the city’s history. Admire the colonial architecture whilst discovering new and innovative buildings, all the while taking in the backdrop of our volcanic Port Hills. Hear the story of the tragic 2011 earthquake and see affected sites. Before and after photographs will be shown illustrating both heartbreak and hope. Complete the tour by spending time at the new Riverside Market – a covered open area of boutique food stores offering a selection of tastes and tit-bits that can be eaten while sitting outside beside our meandering Avon river or under cover. Come and join us – let us introduce you to Christchurch. Meeting point – Worcester Street behind the Cathedral, opposite the Tram exit.
